How Kaylee and Reggie Met

Before they ever met, a mutual friend had a feeling Kaylee and Reggie would be a perfect match. Having grown up near Reggie’s hometown of Hartington, Nebraska, and later becoming best friends with Kaylee in college, she spent years encouraging the two to meet. 

“She always told me, ‘Trust me, you two would be so good together,” Kaylee shared.

The timing finally aligned in December 2020 when Reggie moved into the same Lincoln neighborhood where Kaylee and their mutual friend lived. What began as casual hangouts quickly turned into a months-long flirtationship filled with laughter, chemistry, and plenty of anticipation. Then, in May 2021, Kaylee invited Reggie to her sister’s wedding, and what had been building for months finally became something more. As Kaylee puts it, “One wedding brought us together, and years later, we were planning our own.”

“It’s hard to choose just one favorite moment because the entire day felt magical. But my favorite memories were the quiet moments Reggie and I shared alone – right after the ceremony to our getaway car, sneaking away for a few minutes before our grand entrance, and finally ending the night together at home. It was so special getting to relive and debrief the entire day together.” – Kaylee

While their day at Zenia Omaha was filled with joyful celebrations and thoughtfully curated details, it was the quiet moments Kaylee and Reggie shared together that meant the most. Between soaking in the excitement of being newly married and reminiscing on every special moment at the end of the night, their wedding was a beautiful reflection of their love story and the perfect beginning to their next chapter.
